No one said anything about kunark. You may have a hater complex.

In actuality, red is on an accelerated timeline, and the time between PoS and Kunark was 4 months on live. You do the math.

Nizzar summed it up perfectly.

Never seen a group of people make up more ridiculous excuses than the sorry lot on EQ emu pvp.

These guys know this server was and is by far the best EQ pvp emu by leaps and fucking bounds since 1999. Unfortunately, they couldn't make the cut, so now they are fully immersed, obsessed and can't pull themselves away from a server they no longer even play on. They couldn't be the champions of THE legit EQ pvp server of the game they've professed to be the grand champions of for over a decade. Now, like spoiled children, they come on this forum and throw themselves on the ground, flailing and screaming because they didn't get their way.

The horse is in the ground, but his grave is still being beaten. Regardless of the fact of who discovered bugs on the server, after being told not to use them, one group of delinquents decided to continue using them. That group was Holocaust. Rinse and repeat with CT dt cycle, training et al. CT DT started by 1 Nihilum, 1 time, incidentally while scouting PoF. What happens? For the next week, Holo binds in a safe spot near CT and triggers the DT cycle nearly 100 times because we wiped them out of fear for weeks, with equal and even lesser numbers.

Since then, nothing but an asshat parade on these forums where every proud, whining, sackless, pimpled geek rages because he couldn't be what he he swore he was: the best at EQ.

Let it go, and let the recovery process begin.

It's on foh forums. as far as everything dullah wrote above lol x 1000. This guys immersion level is off the charts. You and your butt pals are the only ones concerned about "winning." You weren't even in the guild when the majority of PVP happened here. Did I win this server because I was in nihilum? Did the other 100 people who have joined nihilum at some time but ultimately quit because this server blows such as nerfed / hughman / elpresidente / silver / billy / bruuce / murderface / applesauce / arbie / birne / hfran / oddjob / hijinx / rhotic / ecoli / madude, etc etc etc x 1000, did they win the server? Did they lose the server? Does winning mean simply having a nihilum tag? Do you lose the second you don't? Do you still get to win if you're retired?

cliffnote: nobody gives a fuck about "winning" they just want a fun, non-buggy emulated version of EQ that has PVP, minimal GM intervention, and doesn't involve sitting in a basement for 16 hours a day to accomplish anything. I want this server to be fun. I want it to have people on it. LoZ isn't for me for many, many, reasons, but it did have something that this server has been missing since January. The fear of PVP. Knowing that if I exp just a tad too deep in Karnor's I might get ganked at any moment. Knowing I can't just sit care free afk at the sebilis zone in. Knowing that since people can use /who to find you (something sorely needed on red99) I can't just sit afk and enjoy the scenery of Neriak without fear of someone getting me.

Thank you, computer.

Thats what your side wanted to do. Their fun was only in "griefing" everyone else.

Luckily the White Knights of Nihilum vanquished that pack of scum. And in an epic turn of the tables... griefed THEM off the sever.

Server was worth it 100000000000000 percent just for that.

Truth.

Ecoli here

I reluctantly joined Nihilum (since i dont like being on a team that has that much numbers over everybody else) because i wasnt digging some Founding Fathers racism and it meant that Holocaust was also not an option. So option 1 and 2 done with, why not try the only option left, 3 (Nihilum).

Im a pvper first and foremost, i got bored to tears seeing people raid in nihilum each night and watching them all log off after it and seeing the roster drop from 30 to 2. Nobody would fuck with Nihi pretty much while they were raiding and the odds were so reversed while they werent raiding that you had to hide under a rock or something.

Dead horse beaten to a pulp incoming: it was the xp loss in pvp that made the noobs quit after getting farmed by twinks, it was the xp loss that made Nihilum gain such an overwhelming advantage while they were farming and gave me such a handicap while i was itching to pvp with 2 guildies on.

All the knowledgeable people knew how to play EQ, so they level faster, know the spots for the gear, more likely to run around in large groups than casuals, and you penalize the noobs even more by making them lose xp in pvp on top of this.

This wasnt the best thought out game mechanic, to say the least, even though i know im not on the popular side with my views on this.

Basically, left the server cuz i wasnt having fun and that i foresaw all the casuals getting bled out of the server and pop dwindling because of the xp loss thing.

P.S. some Nihilum could probably not pvp their way out of a wet paperbag because i never actually saw them online ever outside of a raid. You can say whatever you want about FF and Holo, and i do not like them in general for the racist / cruel antics, but it is completely ridiculous and laughable to say they quit the server cuz they sucked at pvp and "lost the server", because in general, they didnt. LaMort did though [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

Maybe i could go for "Nihilum won the zerging game" but i bet it was a variety of factors that led to players, like me, to move on to something else.

Clueless non-pvper as head GM while Rogean MIA didnt help me stick around either.

Because theres so much content to do in classic to keep us occupied.

There is killing raid mobs and thats it. Staying online for hours on end for the Lguk pvp got boring after the 3rd night.

I'm sorry thats pretty hard to comprehend. When you come to realize that being in Lguk with a full guild does nothing but grief the other players for no apparent reward for that said guild, you can understand why we dont do it.

If griefing people is your fun then im glad you arent on this server anymore. Come pvp us over raid targets, like this game is designed to be.

Oh and can you stop posting about XP loss? Its so irrelevant; I think you're missing a few screws.
