It's simple. If you want the true to classic EQ experience, then Red99 may appeal to you. If you want to go where the population is and where the server is designed for PvP, then LoZ it is. It would be great to get the stability and bug-free environment of Red99 with the people who actively want to make Red99 a great PvP server all wrapped up into one, but that just isn't the case.
Red99 stopped being a PvP server a long time ago, and mostly because of the inability of the devs to move outside of their 'vision' (whatever that vision may be at this point) and cater towards the PvP crowd. Kunark will help Red, for sure, but I believe in the long run without serious system changes it will suffer the same fate it has. But let's not kid ourselves either, Red99 has been running the same content for 9 months, it's time for a change and I'm confident once Kunark gets released some players will migrate back, but for now LoZ is where it's at broz.
Getting an item on Red99 might mean 'more' than LoZ, but who we kidding ourselves pals, we're playing a 14 year old emu game, at the end of the day the question you should ask yourself is "AM I HAVING FUN?"
If your version of fun is playing on a 20 man box farming the same pixels over and over again, then different strokes for different folks, but we know now that it simply is the minority, and the ever growing population on LoZ should reflect what the playerbase wants.
