I think thats exactly the point though. Being the only semi classic server up atm.. they feel no need to provide good community service and feedback.

Don't think they have enough support staff on the team. their response, you aren't allowed to complain because its free.

Don't like non-classic things they have implemented. their response tough cookies.

When more of the classic projects out there come online. I'd be interested to see how long you maintain that attitude.

It's hardly a good attitude when any criticism at all is met with "just be happy its free" or "don't like it leave".

because P99 won't be the only game in town forever and people will leave.

I'd provide links and such.. but its a bannable offense here for some reason. but yes.. perfect absolutely 100% classic projects are in the works (and some nearing completion)

just do some googling.

really tho dude, look at the attitude a lot of people take in their interactions with the staff. they act like spoiled ungrateful children always screaming "gimmie gimmie gimmie, omg favoritism omg." i personally, have never had one unpleasant encounter with a gm. i make my petitions as polite and accurate as possible and am humble and respectful of their decisions. some times things have went my way sometimes they havent. but i have always been treated fairly and with respect. would you like to know, why? because thats how i treat them. its not some magic concept... you know, respect.

Oh, you mean eqclassic? I have known about that forever. That project is likely well beyond what I consider the horizon, if it ever arrives.

That's actually how I found p99. I'd been watching eqclassic for some time with interest after I retired from live for good in 2005ish. I can't recall when I exactly learned of eqclassic, but I'd check in from time to time.

I happened to take a peek at their site in the summer of 2010 and the google search I used to find their site had references to p99 in the top ten results.

I thought "No way is there one up and running... eqclassic has taken forever and is nowhere near release. P99 must really stink..."

I whipped out my old disks, followed the getting-started guide and was playing that night. Sheer joy... sheer joy...

Out of morbid curiosity, I peek at their site from time to time. Slow as always.

NNo he is talking about the sleeper server where he is beta testing and trying to draw people to a population deficient server. Kinda like relapse for eqmac but with slightly more tact.
