Cheap/easy to get magic weapons for pets?

eq is 13 years old now... how is there any ambiguity about this?

the highest summon level 12 pets for nec/mag/enc will hit magic.

pets must be given a magic, droppable, primary usable item (doesn't have to be a weapon) to hit magic before that. Magic boots/shoulders do the same for bash/kick.
