Game Mechanics: Death Touch after Enrage?

Should DT mobs continue to DT even after enrage? I was surprised at not getting a 5th DT during a recent Yael kill, and from checking my logs I see that the fight ended a good 50+ seconds after the last DT. Yael was DTing on a 30 second cycle. My logs show that he became enraged less than 30 seconds after his last DT. Does enrage and post-enrage count as a period during which DT mobs stop DTing? I have no experience on the matter, but was shocked to see that we had 50+ seconds of DT free time at the end of the fight. Thanks.
