Black Pantherskin isn't that good anyhow. A few of the pieces are kind of neat (boots, pants maybe) and the appearance was nice, but AC is king for monks anyhow.

Also, doesn't Velious introduce gem armor, where you collect an old no-drop armor piece and then turn it in with several different gems to get a nice class-specific armor piece? Edit: Yeah, just checked. So the Grand Masters set would be way better for a monk than the Black Pantherskin set? And easier/cheaper to get?

Black Pantherskin will be at least 2k per piece made., Im sure. maybe more, for the reasons stated above. The estimate of 200 plat to produce a piece assumes that a) there wont be bidding wars for the raw comonents and b) that the item will be made successfully each time.
Im guessing, if someone is buying the pantherskins for 50 plat, someone else is going to offer 100. the price will rise to whatever the market will bear, just like it did for awhile with spiderling silk, oak bark, morning dew... all the tedious to get components. Add to that the fact that you will need a fairly high level toon to farm them, ie someone thats allready likely wealthy, and its likely that no one will bother unless its really worth thier time. the skins are likely to be very high demand due to tailors trying to skill up. Then, consider that with a skill of 158 (wus trivial) a 252 triv item will likely fail, what, 7 out of 8 times? and you have say a base of 250 plat to ATTEMPT a piece, times 8 to SUCCEED at making. so, 2k. Then you have to figure thier will be markup, so that the tailor can continue his work. So.... 3k? 4k? Maybe no one will buy at that price, but thats what it will realistically cost to make. you might get a tailor to do it cheaper if you brought mats in bulk. Like say, 10 pantherskins and 10 yew leaves equals a piece. Thats the sort of market that exsisted for this stuff back in the day on E Marr at least, where I was known to dabble in tailoring [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]
