Can't really blame people at the moment. Takes players for EQ to work, and players need stuff to do. We can only pvp over sol b and guk so many times.

Hopefully that'll change soon and a few more players will log in and motivate the rest to log in as well.

tbh mellow i wish i had found out about red99 from the start. i came late dec. I missed the epic battles in q hills. but again ultimately for me was ffa pvp. i played a druid so soloability/xp was never a problem. actually I was planning on joining them, Even talked to Nellodee and Gert a few times about it but towards the end of jan people stopped logging on and I had made friends with Ames and Casey. I wasnt griefing in highkeep. I was killing known griefers and evil races grinding on innocent highkeep guards.

The problem with ancients is that they will never, ever lose gear. They will win 90% of 1 vs 1 fights vs new blood. New blood will lose xp, over and over. This will make the server bleed population.

Solution is to put in sets of no drop gear, the kind that was patched in 2001 with the halloween event. So people either roll around naked, with gear they can afford to lose, or take the time to build up a no drop set that gives them at least a chance vs twinks.

Noobs who defeat a twink, maybe by grouping up 3v1 (which gives them something to look forward to) will have a chance to loot a nice piece of gear. They will now decide if they want to wear this piece or trade it for plats to buy say, sow pots to quad.

This will reinvigorate the economy, making people buy and sell again, make pvp interesting again.

And for the finale, of course, remove xp loss and bring the Rallos way of dying which was low health no mana.

This is how i think you could revitalize the server.

Launch Kunark with this and id bet 1000$ that wed see numbers again.

The "ancients" you are talking about have been griefed off the server. Nihilum dosent run around on dragon twinked alts griefing noobs, thats what holobad and FFers did to help themselves feel better after failing yet another contested raid target (i.e. all of them, for 8 months).

The "ancients" here , help noobs.

Rogean/Nilbog built the best box this world will ever see, and 90 percent of you guys nitpick about "omg my life, its not 100 percent like the vision of box paradise in my head!".

Keep dreaming, and bitching about how imperfect the world is, instead of making the best out of what is a damn fine coded and legit box. They ended up giving you guys everything you wanted, /ooc, xp bonus, scaleing level range, guard assist, etc.

Noble Dojorn downed again last night, gave some items to fresh noobs, did some lowbie grouping with people new to the server, and witnessed the murder/murking of kilbur and party in lower guk. Classic Red EQ happening, those that can do.. those that can't handle... just bitch.
