Out of curiosity, is it as unlikely that you will interrupt Ice Comet as Gate? Short of a stun or mez, interrupting a gate with 6 people doesn't happen. So I would guess Lovely catches a group fighting some mobs, then runs in and cast Ice Comet, knowing that you cannot interrupt.

In classic, Ice Comet was not going to work if you were hit a couple times, same with Gate.
