for the hundreth time, i'm not against releasing more content (kunark). i am however arguing that it will do absolutely nothing for the population or health of the server.

but i digress, i've laid out my points for the devs to read (hopefully) and that's all i can do. we'll either get changes that will help the server and you might see the pop increase.... or... not.

I'll enjoy new content, it will be fun, and I'm sure it will bring back 15-20 nihilum (which will also kill all competition), and a few other people, but ultimately people will quit for the same reason they did before, the grind will just be too tough to bear. Again, if you can't make it past level 20 now, how are you ever going to ding out of 55?

Just curious but does the guild war thing on blue work? I remember it being classic but never seen it used. If it does then maybe you could modify the code to allow 3 guilds to always be at war with one another. nvm just thought of 100 ways to abuse that

Because you're wrong, and I won't pretend you're right.

• Kunark will bring in new people who want to play kunark.
• It will bring back old people who want to play kunark.
• New content stands as the best way to win back people who completed all the classic content.
• It will bring folks from blue who didn't want to play classic again, but want PVP.
• It will take people from blue who weren't part of the uber guilds, and would like a way to compete over kunark that didn't exist on blue (PVP).
• Kunark offers leveling from 1-60 and will provide new population for people to level with.
• Kunark offers many pre-nerf items, thus a highly competitive timeline early on (PVP).
• Kunark provides many months of raid after leveling.
• Kunark balances classes, thus PVP, a ton, making melee much more viable.
• Kunark offers 10x the itemization for character development/progression.
• Kunark offers better resist gear as well as much more dynamic gear for PVP.
• Kunark offers a new race which is huge, esp for necro and monks and will therefore contribute low level population.
• Kunark offers epic quests which will bring much more highly contested content to the table later in the timeline (PVP).
  
  

Could easily double or triple this list with more time.

Please though, lets just have those few players who didn't complete classic content 4 months ago spam the forums telling us how we need more exp so they can insta 50 their friends and pad their guild to compete over content thats been completed months ago.

I'm not against bonus weekends, hot zones, removal of hybrid penalties or anything of the sort, but please, this foolishness that these things will somehow bring people to a post-legacy classic server that's already been farmed into the ground is beyond ridiculous.

Farmed into the ground by one zerg guild that composes 75% of the level 50 pop and now wants more content to eat up uncontested. EXP is the issue.

No one wants to join your guild for a reason. Thats your problem.

Not every player wants to do the guild thing and sit around farming planes. That leaves nothing for anyone else. No ones gonna sit around and PVP over zones they farmed out just like you (24/7 u bluebie pixel farmer - ya I remember) 5 months ago.

Nihilum stayed up till 4am 4 nights in a week bind rushing getting shit on in pvp over Nagafen - I haven't seen over 15 FF since that week, prolly realised the nerds they're playing against and how not fun high end pvp is.

I will continue to log on and grief Nihil tho, but your average joe would find this loser fest disgusting =)
