6. open eqconfig.ini change newui=TRUE. Default is set to false and causes problems
7. start up dxtory and limit video fps to 60

Just tried #6 and 7. Still getting a cannot open packed file system message. The EQW window never takes me into the login before that message pops up.

I played for a few hours the other night after first time logging in. Now I can't get on..

Confirmed ddd kiting in ek right now. Have had bad luck with cod, and but ddd seems to work well.
Bard aoe kiting works at 18 and swarming at 27.

About 20 to 40 traders In the bazaar every time I have been in there. I usually see groups in all the low to mid areas. I have been buffed while fighting in Kurns by 65s. It definitely has a smaller pop than p99., and bit it is nice to get away from all the bs.

It is quite easy to run EQmac on a PC with all the help I found in the thread but I still have a minor prob:

When in 1st person wiew, I cannot scroll out of my char to see his back. I think macintosh mouses don't have scroll wheel but I am not sure. My sister has a laptop without mouse.

Any tips/clue about the scrolling issue pls ?

That feature did not exist in PoP, and so it isn't on that server.

cant scroll out view on eqmac, I would use F9 x3 and play in that view, it's similar and you get used to it in about an hour.

You can sort of scroll out with insert/delete, gives you a good 3rd person view but camera doesn't pan right while running.
