Thank you, Giegue.
I don't need to be OP...just like to be able to hold my own under reasonable circumstances. The class appeals to me because it's been years since I played one, and it's pretty apparent you want to play something that can solo here, at this point. Every class I pick seems to have some whopping turd in the punchbowl because of compounding issues, so just wanted to see if there were any serious gotchas anyone knew of. Thanks!

I'm not going to speak for this server's resist system or charm mechanics, but enchanters were one of the worst 1v1 classes on live (along with clerics and rangers).
They were completely counterable via magic resist. Cure poison potions wiped the tashan line if you needed to get rid of it, and there was a vendor buyable potion that you could cast on yourself to auto-break mezzes. They don't do much damage, as their nukes are both weaker and less efficient than other casters. Their pet can't take commands and sucks anyway. They have no shadowstep/yonder, although the Rune line of spells was nice for pvp. Whirl till you hurl did not land ever on live. Before someone chimes in with WAT IF THE ENCHANTER CHARMS A SAND GIANT 2 OWN U -- that doesn't happen. That's situational/rare, and on live it was extremely risky as often charm would break and they'd end up with a mob killing them.
