There was some trolling from fake name users on the forums.
Obvious trolls were obvious.

Bards must do much clicky.

Can bards old-school aoe kite here? As in with auto circle and not all of the extra clicky that is required here on p99?

I'm assuming swarming is as it always has been.
What "extra clicky"? On p99 you just need to auto-strafe and the rest is just turning slightly when you're casting your dots.

Can't even get the EQMac launchpad to load on their website.

Whatever they did, they've convinced an entire server that all of the world's evils can be cured by not mixxing with PC gamers. Also, apparently, owning a MAC carries ethics, nobility and innate morality with it. Sanctimony, obviously. And here I just thought it meant you don't know how to use computers.

Bards always do much clicky. My question is, is AoE kiting as it was on live classic?

Kiting in all of its wondrous forms work there, yes; bards rejoice! Training/aggro transfer works properly, ie if you only have proximity aggro, mobs will aggro someone else if they get run over (Lron isn't very good at this). Therefore swarm kiting also works and is the fastest exp in the game!

Also this should be in the off topic forum.

Thank you. That's fantastic. The kiting part, that is.

I enjoyed that era and have been jonesing to old school aoe kite like I did a few years ago just before the nerf...havent been in luclin or dealt with AA in forever and that would be cool to mix things up. And I never completed pop flagging before it was a non issue back then either so that would be cool too. I'll keep an eye out for a used mac or something coming up and do it legit tho....the locals seem to frown upon the whole cross platforming that's been going on and I can respect that. Sounds like a nice server over there.

BTW, none of my questions should be taken as complaints about aoe-ing here, I think it's awesome that it can be done, all things considered. I've just been lazy and haven't relearned it.

How can you possibly be AoE kiting here? I rolled a bard here in the past few days and any pull over 3 mobs results in 1k+ latency from the server. Trying to circle in close to land a tick = hit by a shit ton of mobs. Granted it will be different when I can charm and single target DoT for swarm kiting.

Idk, maybe it has something to do with my client. I also noticed I can't search anything in the bazaar, it pops up a bunch of scrambled text strings instead of item names.
