There are some reasons to liquidate stuff other than RMT. Suppose you plan to take a break from eq until velious comes out. I think it would make sense to turn your dropables into pp since plat doesn't just become insanely easier to farm but items get much better

While I agree with 2 and 3, 1 is not necessarily true.

It would be more correct to state that, while providing some mid level content, it was in fact mostly raiding.
