EQ pvp was fun until population crash. one problem i have with EQ pvp is that besides competeing for raid mobs, there is no meaning for pvp. I made up stories and posted kill pics because it was fun but it got old. I didnt raid on live and certainly didnt plan to raid here. I am not a raider and for that, I am kinda screwed because thats where the big pvp is at. Even if i had got to 50 and pvped over dragons and won, i dont want to spend an hour buffing, planning, then fighting a mob for 20 min.

i guess my point is, i feel like there is no point in pvping over mobs. Probably why I liked Sullon Zek so much because in a way you were fighting the darkies and neuts for control of zones. i remember when FF controlled mistmore, I had motivation to build up and army and kick them out but by the time I got a guild going most of them were out of there. Dunno why i am ranting, shit doesnt even make sense. i like peanuts.

Well the guilds are supposed to be the teams here. One of them is just mega fat right now and bullies the other ones.

Man, if I had a dime for every time someone jumped on a new MMO and hyped it up in their own mind to be TOTALLY KEWL and THE NEXT EQ (before they get bored two weeks later).

No chance Tera will hold my interest for longer than it takes to dominate the Battlegrounds this summer. But leveling is really the most fun I have in MMO's these days. Raiding is a huge time sink for small character improvements and PvP is only fun if it is a challenge.

I would think after 12 years, everyone else would have learned by now that dedicating more than a few months to any game is where it goes from entertainment to obsession.

In a few months I will switch over to GW2 and then probably give Diablo 3 a few weeks as well.

These are all games meant to entertain, not a new purpose to your life.

There's a shit ton of other mechanics, overload management, drones, weapon tracking, electronic warfare, so on and so forth.

But you're right, eve is click and afk, and EQ is the end all of video game combat skill

didnt realize APM was equivalent to pvp skill. you have more to lose in EVE than any other game ive played, except hardcore diablo ii and eq DIscord server. if apm is the case then i assure you EQ isnt not challenging. Maybe StarCraft 1.
