The following is coming from someone who has a pre-nerf staff.
It not as good as people say it is.
It is better.
Period.
Its the best item in the game for a reason.
It was nerfed so fast for a very good reason.
It is game altering..

I have it on my 60 Iksar Monk. Stacked with Iksar regen, fungi tunic and the pre-nerf staff I have 48 regen a tick sitting, 42 standing and 44 FD. Most possible regen you can get atm.
Since its no cast time its incredible easy to hotkey it and click from inventory and then click off at will when you need to go pull.

48 a tick regen.. then factor in mend which heals about 520 hp every 6 minutes - around 9 more "regen" a tick - bringing me up to 57 a tick sitting, 51 standing and fighting. Then think about with close to 1100 ac as an iksar how much DPS mobs in Seb and HS do to me... about 10-15% more than my regen rate. Which means I can only solo 3-4 mobs before having to bind wound up a little...
Melee are not supposed to be able to solo consistently in Seb or HS. I'll be the first to admit its messed up that I can. Without this staff would be impossible.

Once I save up a little mo for a RoA I'm rolling the ultimate broken toon - iksar necro with fungus staff and a RoA.

Basically - if you're playing this game and you're not quitting - what in the hell else would you spend your plat on other than the best (and one of the rarest) no longer dropped items in the game? I wouldnt sell my fungus staff for the world and I know 90% of the other people who have one feel the same way.

Plus no one is valuing in the pimp factor. On a server where there are several hundred CoFs floating (for a population of less than 1k) what other pimptastic dropables are there for people to buy? BBoDE?

I logged in and checked theese boards for the first time in a while and Im shocked that a) someone is selling one of these b) no one is willing to shell out 900k for it on the min bid. Shit if I had the plat for this I'd buy a 2nd one.

Let those people who don't own one of these argue about if its really that good or not. They have no idea how game changing it can be.

And a necro is just a mana pump endgame nothing more quite useless of a class in my mind.

Asher I have a post nerf staff on my druid and I think its incredible. The main reason is I have a manastone and I think it is even better on a shaman since they have canni even in kunark. If you have jboots or black fur boots you can switch back and forth between speed and regen at will and it is free regrowth, an otherwise expensive spell, which also comes at a much higher level than the staff is allowed to be clicked. As another cool trick snare does not effect you underwater, you can use this staff in kedge without any downside or quadding specters in oasis with downside being that you only have normal speed instead of sow speed if you want to keep up the regrowth while you quad.

Fungi tunic+ mana free regrowth + manastone is pretty insane for lvl 1-54 and saving 300 mana every 15 min is pretty nice also even if you are above lvl 54. Instant cast time is another bonus over casting regrowth. As a druid I would never value this item over a manastone, but basically if you have manastone and perhaps the much cheaper ES arms and lumi staff I cant think of another item that would be more useful than this one that you could reasonably get with plat.

ok, those items I have seen for sale by only 1 person ever on this server and that person is you. I suspect both items should go for over 200k each, quite a bit different from a staff that is less than 50k

i'll put up the 500k bid, but probably will just keep it for that honestly, would be more interested in 750k+.. it will sky rocket in price in velious thats for sure
