You don't understand. Global Chat always turns into petty political/religious arguments and ends up being absolutely worthless - that was the case with mandatory beta. If it was more customizable (i.e. different channels you could opt in/out of), sure.

-Automated IP Exemption that does exemptions more often than once in a millennium.(that also monitors activity by IPs marked with exemption.)
-Optional global chat (not so much on blue, but on Red definitely. Also an opt out feature, so the whiners who say it will just be spam can get out and shut up.)

Those are the only big ones for me really. I also believe night blindness should be implemented, classic is classic is classic.

That's.....exactly what Chat Channels are. Global OOC? No, but that's not on Live anyway. That was a work-around on EQEmu for global chat until chat channels were working. They are now, and have been for some time. Chat Channels you can join and leave at will and create your own. They can be password locked and heard across the server. Can join multiple ones at once. You can create and designate channels you made for friends, guilds, certain classes on raids, cyber sex parties, discussion of how much you hate everything that isn't Classic even though you quit one day before Luclin was released, and so on. You know, typical EQ stuff. They also could allow chatting across servers though that, as far as I know, doesn't work on EQEmu....yet.


Because how bad ass would it be if Blue and Red could talk, in-game, at the same time? I'm sure the conversations would be completely mature and not retarded at all.

I'd like to see Chat Channels again, and I absolutely love everything about AA's.

AA's + custom content would be the coolest thing ever after Velious release, imo. Skip Luclin, remake PoP with AA's and no PoK (makes all PoP zones based off of Norrath, like Fear/Growth is, or TP'd to like Hate/SKy), and I'll probably stay indoors for a couple years nonstop.
