You don't like that I have spoken publicly against TMO on these forums.

What actual in-game actions have I done to warrant any hate?

I've actually gone on record to move on and let bygones be bygones if TMO wanted to do the right thing and move on from this hate-fest:
Immediately followed by a recruitment post "begging the question" that tmo sold their souls for loot

This entire thread has turned into a bitch fest all because... <insert random p99 player000> "MY OPINIONS ARE MORE SUPREME THAN YOURS".

How difficult is it to enjoy the simple fact there is now a few targets a week that the casual player base can compete against each other with a fighting chance at dragon/god loot? Stop acting as if you're satisfied outfitting every character with only planar loot and it's your end goal at this "12 year old non-difficult game".
I have to agree with Apo on this comment. Very well said.

As in response to:
Quote:
The other 10% is here to prevent the 90% from doing this. These are the people that were in the uberguilds back in the day, and have already done all the content, but since then they haven't had any challenges that meet their unique skillset of sitting in front of the computer for 24 hours per day. This group of people derives their self esteem from being better at Everquest than other people, and P1999 is a way to return to their glory days, like a 40 year old pitcher going back to high school. Most of these people are in TMO/IB and some were in VD but most have quit. When you make comments like "What we dont like is a guild that rides coat tails into the raiding scene then demands that we share mobs. That will get you no where with TMO." its clear that EQ for you is about status - there are the "hardcore" and the "others" and the others had better know their place.
We are not trying to prevent anyone from reliving their old EQ days. As this entire post speaks to that. We are offering up targets that we don't intend to go after. Also I don't sit in front of my PC for 24 hours a day I work a 40 to 50 hour week have 2 kids a really bad Motorcycle riding habit and play with a lot of guns. So trust me when I say this its not all about EQ all the time. When I make the statement of riding coat tails in reference to VD. If VD had stepped up and shown some heart in VP and elsewhere and proven themselves we would of had no problem with coming to agreement on rotation. Instead your GM in all her infinite wisdom decided to use grieving bully tactics to muscle VD into a rotation. That just wasn't going to fly.

Our goal on this server is about the same as anyone's goals really. We like to have fun. What makes the game fun for us may not make it fun for you. That is where the old saying different strokes for different folks comes into play.

My intention is not to force my views of how I game or the people I game with is the right way to do it. You got yours we got ours. But its to show the masses where at least I come from when I play this 12 year old game. =-)

Its definitely not a skill but it is the combined ability of a guild as an entity to move around quickly.

Nlaar, not saying that Velious will fix it, but thank god the 32khp cap gets lifted!

Jeremy, thanks for that excellent opinon. You are well on your way to becoming a young doctor with medical opinions so thoroughly vetted.
Velious fixes everything as it allowed more than 1 or 2 guilds to compete for mobs....there are just tooo many mobs to lock down. Velious add roughly 23 more raid "bosses" not to mention additions to old planes, PoG, PoM, and 3 factions of armor grinding. There is a reason why velious was the golden age of raiding

I believe that was in retaliation of TMO cockblocking them from VP during your 1 week suspension. Started the butterfly effect imo. Same could be said of TMO during that incident --> TMO had no intention of killing VP mobs, but griefed VD just to grief VD. Is one week missing VP mobs really that detrimental to TMO? I think not.

No we wanted you guys to grief us we begged for it. Zeelots finest moments are that of training the hell out of IB he had more fun then a kid in a candy store doing this. Part of the non GM intervention in that zone made that really an epic fun experience. We invited VD to do the same. But not just train and memblur our dragons though. bring your force out and put in some work. Show us you got heart. That is what makes the competition really fun.
We couldnt raid during that 1 week so zeelot was playing in VP to give you a taste of what was to come had you kept on your path and actually brought your raid force in to try and take out dragons. Ohh it would of been game on. Nothing fires me up more and gets my motor running like another guild stepping up taking the Riegns and putting in a real fight for what they want. That is epic. Its like the 300 men in 300 movie taking on an entire empire. =-)

Some of the greatest moments we have had was coming back from defeats on FTE and loosing raid targets. What hurts you makes you stronger as the ol saying goes.

In other words, the closer EQ gets to a PVP game the more you have fun. Look I don't think there is anything wrong with this per se. I just think you guys are playing the wrong game. As I said, the 90 and then 10.

I do agree with Alarti. Velious will be big enough to give everyone some room to play. But it won't be PVP, so will you guys even enjoy it?

By that logic, VD memblurring/training was just us playing in VP to give you guys a taste of the medicine you gave us, on multiple occasions, inside and outside of VP. Taste a little bitter, doesn't it?

And not that the 300 movie is an accurate depiction of the true battle it represents, but every strategist in the World would agree that Xerxes was a moron for trying to go toe to toe in the manner he did; attacking an entrenched foe from a disadvantaged position. Why should the rest of the server have to be the Persian army so you can have your Gerard Butler chest and red silk panties?

Lets be honest here: You guys had no intention of coming into VP to make an attempt at any mobs as long Zeelot and the Train crew where around. Lets not candy coat the shit. We where fine with the shit you guys brought. We adapted and overcame your memblur exploits that was fine. But then you dont even come to try and take out dragons? come on now. Dont fire off with knives when you got a load gun to the back of your head.
