This entire thread has turned into a bitch fest all because... <insert random p99 player000> "MY OPINIONS ARE MORE SUPREME THAN YOURS".

How difficult is it to enjoy the simple fact there is now a few targets a week that the casual player base can compete against each other with a fighting chance at dragon/god loot? Stop acting as if you're satisfied outfitting every character with only planar loot and it's your end goal at this "12 year old non-difficult game".

I agree with the exceptiong of metallikus.... he used to be a cool guy too, seems to have eaten the bad juju fruit though.
You don't like that I have spoken publicly against TMO on these forums.

What actual in-game actions have I done to warrant any hate?

I've actually gone on record to move on and let bygones be bygones if TMO wanted to do the right thing and move on from this hate-fest:

That would be well and good except for every time someone tries to do something constructive there are 15 full time TMO trolls shitting up every thread.

I'm willing to move forward and never say a damned word against tmo again if they have indeed miraculously changed their ways.

Offers hand*

the thrill of racing for a target?

thats just a case of having enough people logging on at the drop of a hat/porting/camping out in the right spot/clicking a cap or potion. people saying mobilisation is a skill is so funny i sometimes do a genuine lol.
Yes, It is a generally a LOL.. but sometimes you have special circumstances where you do have to mobilize.
Like the last server repop. With all of the targets up we had to race and mobilize. TMO got 14 of the 16 major targets.
A server repop is the only good way I can think of to judge a guilds' mobilization ability. Its definitely not a skill but it is the combined ability of a guild as an entity to move around quickly.

Sometimes random spawns force you to mobilize too. Last month (or late Feb) Talendor spawned. 1 Tracker from TMO was in zone, 1 from TR.
Within 3-4 mins we had 35 TMO in zone when there was a combined 3 TR/VD.

So what you're saying is if all of TMO abides by what you consider to be fair or right, then you'll "be nice" However if all of TMO (by all I mean all that post on the forums) does not abide by what you deem fair and right, then game on?

Who are you again?

Char name?
Loraen. I was in Vesica Dei for a few months and quit because I got tired of the ridiculous batphoning (I never really intended to join a raid guild). It's actually not impossible that this started the chain reaction that lead to the breakup of VD (although IMO this was going to happen anyway, as that mixture of hardcore and casual was just not stable) so yall should be thanking me. You can verify it up by searching for my WTB posts. I've never tried to hide my identity - I actually created my forum account before I picked a char name [You must be logged in to view images. Let me be clear on one thing: I'm supercompetitive. When I play basketball or chess or whatever, I play to win. I don't think there is anything wrong with that. But EQ as a game is simply not designed for people to race for mobs. Real competitive EQ in my opinion is killing mobs with fewer numbers than the other guy. Which is actually the part that I enjoy, and I go out of my way to try and do this even when the loot isn't there. I spent like 3 hours trying to trio Korocust once. I still have to go back and try and finish that one.

And whenever you would like to realize you are trying to PVP in a PVE game, you are more than free to do so.

Look, there are basically two types of people on this server. About 90% of the server is here because we played EQ back in the day

The [/PHP]other 10% is here to prevent the 90% from doing this.
False dilemma fallacy among just too many others....improve your thought process. It would just take too long to correct all your fallacies on my phone.

Some excellent points made all around.

I agree whole heatedly that there is fun to be had during FTE races. Pre Kunark I loved zoning in to Fear to race for CT... trying to gauge how many mobs still needed to be killed before you could successfully engage etc, that was fun. A few months ago racing for Inny could still sort of be fun. Hell I still have fun mobilizing for Naggy/Vox just because they require some path clearing first... creates a more "epic" feel if you will.

However, those at the upper echelons of P99dom have pushed the envelope of the mantra "work smarter not harder." So now instead of having two guilds race from the zone in we have eye pulls, we have people who will place their pet on spawn points etc. This is indeed a smarter approach and I commend those players for guaranteeing their guild's kill & loot. However, for me that breaks the game and takes the fun out of raiding. Pet's on Trak's spawn point? Ridiculous. FTE races used to be 5k races, now they are a 100m sprints.

Metallikus - I dislike you because you're retarded, not because you speak out (retardedly) against my guild.
