Heretics faction

Played an eru nec on live and here as well. I really don't know min. faction for getting quests but I'd guess it's less than amiable.

As far as raising it, depends on your level and to some degree class. Boring slow way is to hang out in East Freeport during daytime in game to right of docks and whack Bait Masterson. AFK pet classes can do this. Just make sure the dark-elf that spawns there at night isn't kos. Best way is to get to Erudin docks and clear guards. This is WAY faster if you can do it. Of course, you are going to trash most of the other Erudite factions no matter what you do pre-Warrens if I remember correctly.

Keep in mind I did this months ago to get warmly faction w/Heretics so I could complete the Mantle of Souls quest. I'll add that from what I remember on live the speed to warmly faction was way too fast. I'm guessing Herectic faction at the time was screwed up and too easy to reach max. No idea if that's been adjusted like some factions since then. I'd imagine if they are fixing factions Paineel and Odus in general are pretty low on the list.

Edit: Don't even get me started on other deity/race combos with Herectic faction. That stuff was weird as heck on live and at least as messed up here if not more so.
