If the above is right then proximity aggro which isn't direct aggro should only pull the first mob.
You didn't read what I said!

The very guide you're looking at says that proximity aggro is one of the ways to establish DA. That guide's definitions of proxy aggro, direct aggro, etc., differ from the ones you've been using in this thread. See below:

Direct Aggro (DA)

Arises when you attack a mob. Fairly obviously, when pulling, you must either do something detrimental to it, or go within aggro range if it is KoS. This is called 'tagging'. As a bard I will usually tag with bellow or detrimental song (usually HoS), but sometimes I use aggro range pull too. This is never really an issue, but there are some nice tagging techniques, that I will discuss later. A mob that is directly tagged has a very different aggro to one that assists.

This is the whole point of the lull line of spells. It lowers their aggro radius... The two circles of aggro, centered on each mob, no longer overlap when they are lulled; this allows you to pull each mob separately.
yeah I get what you are saying. although I think there are 2 circles on each mob so 4 circles overlapping, and not all necessarily the same?

What I'm trying to find out if the last part works, right down the bottom of the guide, where he says if you move just into range of a mobs proximity circle, but not into another mobs proximity circle, that the mob will aggro, however the aggro will be centred around YOU, rather then the mob and the mob will come by itself.

I can't get it to work but that doesn't necessarily mean it doesn't cus I generally suck at games [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

Yeah I reread it and now understand that DA and proximitiy aggro are pretty much the same. That did help heaps.
