Jboots are great for Wizards. It's one of about two or three pieces of gear they really need. The others being Staff of Temperate Flux (which is more of a class perk than anything), and I left a slot open in case there was one I forgot. [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

Apart from that, all they really need is enough int/mana gear to finish off their quad. That makes the soloing Wizard the class who can put mana gear to best use. The other classes don't require nearly as much to be effective. Druids can use a fungi/regeneration/manastone combination or Luminescent Staff to help their quads.
