Thanks for the replies folks. Is the Alchemy the original Alchemy where you could only make potions from mob drops as it was when servers when live first,or are herbs on vendors or is alchemy a combination of old and the new fiasco that alchemy became.I had a big hand helping shape things in the beginning with alchemy since I loved making useful potions and when the first develeopers actually played along side of and listened to players. Didnt like every ingredient being dropped off mobs and from all corners of Norrath just to make 1 potion. Putting the herbs on vendors and making them a plat sink was better for players and making potions more available, but made levelling alchemy ezmode(that part wasnt me,I objected and felt whatever came off the vendor should have been farmable for the lvl appropriate potions off lvl appropriate mobs). Then they totally revamped Alchemy to a near mix of what I suggested 7yrs earlier...except they made some of the drops so insanely rare or in raid only zones that alot of potions never got used or made.Maybe theres some player run data site on some of these things or other trades that I've missed.Been doing alot of reading on these boards to get an idea of things but maybe I've overlooked something.I still have a suitcase of hand written notes for quests, potions, armors and hand drawn maps(yes I was that addicted lol) and guessing I might have to drag it out if the older alchemy is alive since EQTraders site link for older alchemy is broken/no longer up.
Thanks again for any info
