Ninja looting... illegal?

Ok i just learned that you will get suspended for ninja looting.

Can anyone confirm if this was the case on live?

Because i thought training was legal on live but apparently it wasnt the case.

Ninja looters had a rep on live and werent allowed a place anywhere near a group that knew this.

Why arent we allowed this meta-gaming part of the game?

To me this is restricting the "toys in the sandbox"

I wouldnt ninja loot with my main, but it saddens me that someone cannot do this and be hunted and punished through social consequences within the game for this.

To me, just like scamming, this is not something the GMs should touch with a ten foot pole.

Ninja looting should be legal with no GM interference just like it was on Rallos Zek. It was great ninja looting Cazic Thule and it brings a tear to my eye to think I can't do it here to become more fully immersed.

To me, ninja looting provides a lot of grey areas, and for GMing you probably want to avoid grey areas because all they do is result in inconsistent rulings and accusations of gm favoritism.

Right, and the less time the GMs spend catering to babies crying their eyes off because ITS MINE! MIIIINNNNEEE!! the more time they can spend on stuff they and the players actually enjoy, events and such.

Its really fucking simple. Someone ninja loots?

Make it public, hunt the guy in pvp, after a while this guy will get a rep and he might as well delete his char if he wants his hands on something else than solo farm loot.

Im just not getting how this is GM territory at all.

Jesus now i can empathize a bit more with Amelinda and Uthgaard after reading that people actually petition because someone ninja looted.
