That would be false information unless it was referring to a time after velious.

With half that you could reliably resist roots and snares in classic. Literally until I was in my 50s I ran around on my monk with just basic MR jewelry on live (Rallos Zek) giving 70-80 mr and I almost never got rooted unless tashed. On those rare occasions, I whipped out the egg.

But don't sacrifice too many HP's. Infact, one strategy is to get enough MR to resist most roots and snares (150ish) and then just concentrate on pure HP's"

Careful, some kids think they should be immune to cc at 75mr. This 150 business may make them cry.

Now... one thing that existed on Rallos was item loot and this largely kept melees in check.

I still advocate it as a caster, but did initially have plans of playing a rogue.
