I have this, and no skillup in beg. It works, however, if the mob isn't engaged. Appears that beg isn't skilling up/working on aggro'd mobs.

I've noticed the same thing on my warrior, but I've mostly been killing skeletons and non-humaniods (I assume beg works on the same rules as PP for that?) so dunno. I put a point of training into beg just to be safe, but will need to watch it for a bit to say for sure.
No skillups either, though.
