If we had YT awhile ago, the server wouldn't be in the state it's in now.
You think everyone 35+ would have joined the great blue zerg if they were being humiliated by getting YTd constantly? Doubt it. YT actually promotes people to try harder/get better at pvp. It's all moot regardless, it won't be put in.

I initially argued against yt/global ooc before launch. There is a downside because everyone knows where everyone is and doesnt have to learn the information. Just takes one person to say " /o PK guild_01" is headed to lavastorm, be ready".
On a 150 during primetime server though, we actually need everyone to know where the action is.

Finding action isnt complicated. Find the xps, find the pixels, you find the action.
EQ is first and foremost a game of character progression, therefore you will find people of certain levels in those respective areas acquiring xp and items.

Like I said in this thread and in various other threads, YT just encourages a certain style of PvP by making it implicit that anyone with more YT in their favor is "better". Favoring a certain style of pvp/rules of engagement is not a good idea. Whenever YT is implemented on a server it becomes an informal leaderboard, so you see people bind camping, killing AFKers, and killing people on CR's more often. Basically, you get pvp for the sake of ego-stroking which is not what classic pvp was (necessarily) about. Killshots posted on the forums provide context to show that a person is being bind camped, killed while naked, etc., so those are better for people to show off their kills. Global OOC lets people find groups easier and broadcast where pvp is occurring if they really want. YT isn't needed and it just creates more problems than it solves. Inb4 "you're just against YT because you're afraid of pvp".
