You mention racial slurs, but what about homophobic and sexist slurs too? This is 2012 and I for one dont want to play a game with a constant scroll of "faggot got dirtnapped" spamming the bottom half of my screen.

I dunno, I just see this driving away the (admittedly minority) mature players and then the server will just be a brown cesspool of UMADS, and nothing like 1999 rallos zek.

You know, everyone knows, its gonna be 24/7 rants n' flames material in global /ooc This will be giving some of the most dismal trolls on the internet a feast.

I don't think that's entirely true.. it's just that the 'UMAD bro?" people think they are the only ones here, and are the most vocal.. there are quite a few people that play, that prefer to fly a little lower under the radar [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

Being a guide, and being an over controlling mom are very different. I think, unfortunately that you may have crossed over into the over controlling mom a while ago due to the nature of the job and having to deal with the vz/tz people.

LOL. I'm not being an overcontrolling mom. I am simply supporting and enforcing the server rules that were set forth at the get go. The part in the quote of my previous post about no racial slurs being tolerated etc. that's from the server rules post under the library for blue - and that applies to red as well.

You can think i'm being overcontrolling all you want. BUT the deal is that I am here to help enforce and uphold the rules.

I respect the management of the server (nilbog and rogean) and i respect the rules of the server and will be upholding them and my guides will be doing that as well.

Sigh, point of post missed. Was not to insult but to simply say there is being a gm and making sure the game is run correctly and that people disrupting gameplay are taken care of. Policing every curse word or racial slur that would get thrown in ooc is a bit ridiculous, and not only that its extremely tedious and takes away from progress of fixing real bugs. Words are words and if you can't read them and not get offended over a video game you obviously haven't "grown up."

There are children who play this game. it's not 18 and up. Plus seriously. it's not necessary to call people the n-word to further your enjoyment of the game.

America is just there to enforce and uphold the rules in all the other countries they invade........amirite?

No need to micromanage as hard as these servers do in terms of conduct in the form of text. The people that don't want to hear trolls speaking I am sure know that there is an ignore command and have used it multiple times before. Conduct in the form of programs/sploiting should be heavily monitored and heavily punished if found cheating/breaking/manipulating game mechanics for personal gain. Just makes your job more difficult to attempt to resolve all the issues and then have to deal with the 25 very well versed trolls that this community has under it's bridges.

Instead you could be dealing with issues like charmed npcs not dropping items you handed them when you kill them, 2h dmg being borked, AC is apparently borked. Kedge xp revamped, xp in general revamped. (1-20 was never that time consuming ever) Channeling bugs, resist system people can agree on. Dragon lewts being earned correctly.
