[QUOTE=Amelinda;534557]Question:
Do you want Global OOC instituted. Why or why not?? Pro: Easier to find a group Easier to associate with the community and make friends. Big brother now compensates for assholes and douchebags whos anti-social behavior makes them incompatible with developing their own relationships with other human beings. Big brother will now force you to be in chat with them. Whats the purpose of having guilds then? When the server will be one big guild chat.

You guys DO know that there is an /ignore command right? If you dislike a person so much and don't want to listen to them in OOC then /ignore them you tool.

I'm someone who is brand new to the server, playing a non-solo class (Paladin). Let me tell you about what it's like, and if you would continue playing here if you had the same experience.
> Log in > Put on LFG tag > Ask the ~2 other people in my zone if they want to group, get no response. > Spend hours traveling to other newbie zones with ~2 people in them, repeat scenario. > Type /who all LFG, can't tell levels or classes since everyone is Anon. Send them tells asking if they want to group. No luck. > Continue out-of-charactering if anyone wants to group with me for more hours. > Been several hours, and I havne't got much of any XP besides the light blues I am able to solo as a Paladin. > Give up and log out, want to quit Red99. Not having Global OOC is what is driving people like me from not playing Red 99. Not the other way around. Listen to people who are actually new to the server about what makes them not want to quit. Everyone that is saying OOC spam will drive away new players is trying to speak for us. Listen to the actual people who are new to the server and have to level.

Cons = Irc is already filled with racism and anti semetic garbage. Dont need to know every time there is little drama between people Dont need to know everytime someone dies or is trained or killed. Dont need to hear bitching about game mechanics Dont need to hear everytime someone rage quits, though it can be funny.

Yeah, because global OOC to help new players and non-solo classes form xp groups = instanced WoW content that summons you and others to a zone for a good time.
No flaws in that logic. | ||

I'm sure "optimistic" about how you some of you think it would turn out: "hey newbie looking for group or pvp!" "hey! we're at the aviak house in south karana, we'd love a naked melee to join us! sure it hard out there right!" (group finds pvp) "good fight guys! wanna go xp together now?" "Sure!" (after a long, hot day of adventuring and playing outside in Norrath) [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.] [You must be logged in to view images.
