and nirgon as for people getting away with stuff on live , well , ive never even heard of anyone being held accountable for a scam , a train , or a hack on live

it got so bad around omens / don i quit for a while , twice actually , i dont think soe ever got involved with any of the macroquest or monk bug bullshit or anything else

one time in wudan me and 2 rogues ( i was a bard ) Flattened a rumblecrush raid of lesser people , we basically started with the healers / nukers and when they were all dead , i high sunned rumblecrush * For all you newbs who didnt play past velious * High sun sends a mob back to his spawn point

so rumble starts summoning their melee across the field , the ones that dont get summoned right away are like wtf happened , and as we are killing them the people that died start spamming us with hate tells , after everyone was dead , we left , and about 10 mins later i was summoned into summer home or whatever gm zone it was

as the newbs who got summoned were fleeing for their lives , some of them trained , and although it wasnt us who trained , they all petitioned we did , and after being yelled at for 20 mins the gms let me go , but even if i did train , the golden rule of eq is if a staff member didnt see it , they cant do anything

and staff never see anything do they? Are their eyes even open? /wink

I go to school full time and work; which is about the same time spent as everyone else working 40hrs/week full-time (~20hrs school, 20hrs work). I don't get mommy's tuition. Bills = take up time.

Oh they did, lotta people got caught ghost killing was usually 2 week suspension, depending on how many strikes you had on your account and perma ban the next time you got caught doing shady shit. General use of MQ didn't usually get any attention unless you were chain warping around the zone and someone happened to catch you..

Anyhow xp here is fine, all the other mmo's you guys been playing have carebeared you into impatient people who don't wanna do work.

first char i played was druid, soon as I hit 14 I went to oasis and trained sand giants and specs to docks all day. was banned. people were definately accountable on live, at least until pop. Unless you were on sullon zek which had no rules if i remember correctly.

this is XP_Thread_096, which needs to get back on track.

I think moreso than the XP bonus, items being available for cheap will help out.

People get bored without their fun lil proc weapons or using rusty swords/daggers and eating shit all day, regardless of how high the xp is.
