Some of the ideas you expressed in your OP do not fit into the classic venue. By new server, you then mean one that would go beyond Velios. My vote for now, is ABSOLUTELY NOT. It would take precious dev and support resources away from our current server, which is a work in progress. It woud also split the population, leaving it too thin.

Eventually, after Velious and any post Velious non-Luclin updates are released, there will come a time when serious discussion of new server, along the lines that you suggested, may well make sense. But that is probably 2 years out from now.

I'm not sure on the whole idea, but I do have trouble with the message. Here's what I translated:

"I think we should start a new server with all the features I want! All we need is a host for the server, developers to build it, GMs, to admin it, and players to bother playing on it."

It strikes me that you might want to acquire a few people with the correct skillset BEFORE boldly posting on Project1999 that you intend to poach its players and development tallent.

I fucking loved LOVED Luclin and PoP. But I am happy staying at Velious.

I wouldn't mind seeing the server have some basic gameplay and usability changes once it hits velious- tweaks to class balance, etc, but no major changes and certainly no Luclin. I quit after Cat People last time and that was for a reason. A wee bit of modernization would not go amiss in the long run though.
