I WANT a challenging encounter. DAOC comes to mind if anyone has ever played it PvPers respected each other and enjoyed even fair fights, so much so that if there was a 8 vs 8 fight going on, and some random people walk up and attack, the groups would disengage from each other, kill the randoms, and then restart the fight.

Its is people like you with your fair PvP hippie Bullshit that destroyed real PvP and made Designers introduce *puke* Battlegrounds *puke*. Please have a cup of fuck-you with a shut-up cookie.
Have to agree with Snukie here, people bitching and crying because they got "added" and wanting fair 1v1 in the middle of a bridge is fucking ridiculous. DAOC was made for RvR, not PvP. Did anyone in Planetside ever bitch when their side got backup in a fight?? No. Must just be something about elves and kobolds that bring out the inner fag in some people.

Now back on topic, I never viewed EQ as a PvP game, so the lack of balance never surprised me..it is frustrating for sure at times, but it is expected. What it boils down to a problem of expectations I think.
