if they made ban's "stick", people would remake accounts with other peoples names (I would surely use Lazortag2.0) and no one would have any clue who the trolls were.

Require using said code in-game in some manner, tells to GM/Guide, npc interaction, etc.

I think nilbog has the right idea on this one...

It's too much of a headache to track and enforce bans on forum idiots and not to mention the drama it would cause.

Besides.. it just makes people look dumb anyways... really is no way to make people play nice on the interwebs so just delete offensive stuff and keep banning dumb accounts.
