Seriously. I for one always loved Howling Stones ae groups. They're also way more inclusive because you don't need to have only wizards aeing (you can use druids/clerics/mages). I bet Chardok ae groups would be fun too.

I've seen chardok ae groups on this server. The pathing here actually makes them rather easy if you do it right. Just don't do it while someone is camping betrayer...

Is there anything stopping people from ae'ing KC besides how populated it is?

Sebilis doesn't work here because casters only need LOS to begin a cast, not complete a cast (which is a NON-classic, P99 "feature" specifically implemented to combat abuse of the mechanic by the P99 playerbase). Good luck pulling with Ice Comets raining down on you!
Negative.

On live the proper casting mechanisms were not implimented until deep into velious. Nothing should cast ice comet right now. At most you used to get force shock and crap like that.

On live AE groups in seb were never a problem because at most with jboot you were hit about 10 times.

P99's caster mechanics are f*cked on both counts though.

the above post is entirely as i remember it. "smart" casting was a later addition, when they changed caster mob AI

they used to try and root and use random other nukes instead all the time

...Why should you ever get hit? Just pull using eye of zomm or coh with a dot/pet or something.

Yup. Zoned into Chardok. Got 1 hit by a zone in mob casting ice comet. Was one of the last times I logged in. Classic would be fun, custom classic not so much.

Casters do tend to act a LOT more intelligently on this server than on live in terms of their spell choices.
