i will never understand why anyone looking for a nicotine fix would rather smoke cigarettes than use dip or chew (for men at least).

dip tastes better, is cheaper, doesn't leave you with shitty smelling breath/clothes, can be used indoors, gives a longer/more satisfying buzz, isn't any more dangerous than smoking (if anything it's "safer", no chance of lung cancer).

I've used dip for about 5 years, ever since starting while playing high school baseball, and recently decided to quit- so I'm not condoning it's use or anything but I will never understand why someone would rather smoke a cigarette

Just a guess but this might have something to do with the nicotine kick you get?

Example with cocaine:

Kick factor: Swallowing < Snorting < Injecting

Pretty sure sublingual nicotine bioavailability > smoked nicotine bioavailability, so.. don't think so.

for all the non-smokers: the aggregate risk of getting at least one form of cancer in your lifetime is 44.85% if you're a man, 38.08% if you're a woman.
