Anyone who diagree's with Oldfish is a basement dweller, news at 11.

FYI your opinion is not the only one that matters, get over yourself.
News at 11, poll on xp loss is currently at 65/35% yes/no on "was xp loss a good idea".

Straw man fallacy

I don't care if it stays or goes, I adapt.

However you are saying only your opinion meters when you start flaming people for disagreeing. You can sit down now.

I dont really care either because i hardly play anymore. I wish the server had taken another direction though, and im just saying what i think went wrong. I might be wrong, but im not the only one thinking that.

yes you are, now begone. i'd dig through old posts/accounts saying youd be gone within a month but you're not worth my time. every single post of yours is the same thing crying about pvp death exp loss. It's literally >1 mob per death, how many fucking times do you die to PVP a day? 10 pvp deaths would barely equal 1 exp death... you must be bad

Have you guys tried asking other people to play? There are a variety of free mmorpg forums on the internet. Smedy made youtube quality videos that can be linked.

We don't advertise r99/p99 because we spend most/all of our time managing and developing them.

Before the p99 launch, and months following, members were posting on their old forums, and gaming forums in general to get more attention. This could have helped a lot with popularity.

I did a quick google search of.. free pvp, free mmorpg, mmorpg pvp, etc and came up with these results.

http://www.f2p.com/

Make some threads there? Tell people the server is fun and just started? Just a thought. This was < 5 minutes worth of effort. I imagine there are hundreds or thousands of places to mention the server.

Do not advertise on any soe forum.

I love reading these from you "hard-core" PvP'rs while ignoring the fact that your population continues to dwindle more and more each week. I stopped playing because the grind is terrible, I loved classic EQ, mainly because I was a teenager living at home with my parents with no responsibility, so I could dedicate 4-8 hours a day...

I would presume, the majority of those who tried p99, are like me, here for nostalgia, perhaps try some things I never got to do on live....

Instead, I find myself trying to do the same thing I did 10 years ago, but now I have a job, wife, kids, etc.

Those of you that can play this game 8 hours a day obviously have no life, so continue to bash, and ignore the facts and soon your p99 EQ experience will be like your love lives...(playing with yourself) [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

Safe to say your presumption is wrong bro.. right now between 9 AM and about 3 PM (when most people are working) I seen an average of 100-130 people online during the day... compared to the 200-220 at night

And consider that some of those that are on at night are the same ones that are on from the morning/day I will say the hardcore crowd greatly outnumbers the casuals...

In the end, this server will have a steady 140-180 pop w/ the people that refuse to move from EQ .. I can see a slight bump when Kunark releases and even once people are in a position to 'twink'

Already most newbie zones are ghost towns... if theres nothing to promote a steady player influx, the players that are maxxed out will slowly decrease as they lose interest and move on to other things

I will, but we really need to find a way to get more people easy access to Titanium.

I am pretty sure that is all that is cock blocking hundreds if not thousands of people looking for a sweet ass free MMO.

If they remove xp loss upon pvp death then what sort of penalty should they replace it with? Item loot?
You died, you're now back at your spawn point with no mana. The person who killed you looted your money, and you'll have to leave the zone or else they'll kill you again.

Worked on live for a long time.

People don't play here because they don't like the leveling treadmill + exp loss in pvp. It really isn't hard to figure out, everyone's saying it.
