I agree. It seems quite smaller than it should. You have to be literally just out of mobs hit range for the spell to hit them. Especially if some people have the slightest bit of lag, boom, bard down.

The way it is now is classic (the range is 30 on this server, I believe this was recovered from the kunark spdat). After rigorous training I was able to master the art of hitting mobs with chords while not getting hit by them. Some Bards (Cast) still have trouble with this, but that's understandable.

From memory the following pbae's have a range of 30 on this server: Chords of Dissonance, Largo's Melodic Binding, Angstlich's Appalling Screech, Selo's Chords of Cessation, while the following pbae's have a range of 35: Kelin's Lucid Lullaby, Denon's Disruptive Discord, Selo's Assonant Strane, Song of Midnight, Denon's Bereavement (I could be wrong, this is just my guess). I think this is all accurate to classic, you just have to practice not getting hit.
