Sounds pretty obvious to me what happened here.

I'm not a rocket scientist and forgive me for arm chair GM'ing but if I saw the following:

1. Mob is pulled with only one spell cast by a druid.
2. Presuming in every other case in his xping pulls with a snare (and this may not be true) he pulls with a nuke.
3. Making no further actions takes the mob to a zoneline.
4. Snares mob before zoning.

I just might think to myself that this was done intentionally to train another player.

Same here. I have been trained at least 12 times now, all ending in my death and loss of xp. Sure, i was the one who gathered the mobs into a pretty train, but it was the person who rooted me who actually caused me to die from the train.

Similar to someone dying because they are dumb enough to go afk next to a zone line, where they were bound. Who the hell binds that close to a zone line?

That mob doesn't path to the unrest zone line. Morever, why wasn't it an undertow skeleton or something that more commonly agros and is less of a threat there? Pretty obvious bros.
