Guards attacking

they said they were going to fix it, in the meantime stop crying. if someone quits the server because the guards didnt help protect them from the level 4 newbiemage they werent going to make it past level 15 anyway.

People are upset that they aren't even safe in the bank, in their home city no less. That's not to mention their own guild masters and trainers don't seem to give a damn when they're attacked right in front of them.

The guild master and trainer thing might be as it was in classic (I don't remember if they reacted or not), but the guards not reacting certainly isn't. You can't bank, you can't train tradeskills, you can't buy spells, you can't do anything that requires you carrying some money right now when there's known PK groups camping your city waiting for those opportunities, waiting for people with cash who don't realize the guards and other NPCs may as well not exist for all the help they give. And they do camp cities waiting to jump people doing these things. I got hit in the bank, right next to a guard. I got hit training at my guild trainer. I got hit at a forge. Now I anticipate it and look out for known offenders, but I didn't before. Why would I? Cities used to be generally safe if you weren't in an out-of-the-way corner somewhere.

To answer an important question, EVERY NPC IN THE GAME is supposed to react against lower factioned players. Not just guards, not just guildmasters. This is why the Priest of Discord was feared and the source of a massive amount of lulz.

I'd just like to make the point that in sparkletoes's case they are reaping the just rewards of what they have sowed. One cannot be as big of a douchbag in as many areas as them and not expect everyone to have them on their list from level one onwards. I plead with you to move to BB so that I too can have the opportunity to deny you things.
