I use AT&T on my ferry rides inbetween cities and it's awesome. Only time I've lost service is when I'm out in a 30 mile wide channel or something.

I play tethered to a Droid X on Verizon using PDAnet 3.02, got lucky enough to be grandfathered in to unlimited data but considering I used to play this on dial up it generally doesn't need more than 2-5kb/s.

Anybody connecting via a tethered iPhone? My wife's iPhone 4 is an early enough version to jail break and we both have unlimited plans. I was wondering if using a VPN would prevent them from seeing what you're using it for.

i play using virgin mobile wireless broadband unlimited data (5gig cap then slows after that)
it has good days and bad days, i ping usually around 200ms, wouldnt trust it kiting, but it works i can box 9 chars on peq without problems unless its super cloudy out , otherwise they wouldn't all load and i'd get droped zoning. but i live 2 miles off a paved road with the nearest neighbor ....1 mile away which means no land line or cable, so this gets me by.... oh, and i do go over the 5 gigs, but not by much... | ||
