Bards have been op since the beginning of time, pvp and pve :P
Yes this was classic, and yes it was mostly a non-issue at high end because mez never ever landed. Until ancient mez was introduced.. unresistable! Solution: mez on players should have a resist check every cast of the song. Also, make it a bit harder to land than enchanter mez.. enchanters can't recast it at no mana cost every 3 seconds like bards can.
