Although I'm a huge fan of FFVII, Final Fantasy Tactics has to be my favorite. Awesome replay value.
I still play this game on my old skool PS when farming stuff in EQ. One of the best games ever made. I still own a PS One for FFT, and Harvest Moon: Back to Nature. heh. One more defensible than the other [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

7 so good that threads about 8 become threads about 7 ~

8 was definitely one of the worst of the series

7 has a special place in my heart for nostalgia's sake

tactics was great

3(6) was the best. anyone who argues this is just falling into 7's nostalgia trap, or is straight up bad

I'd play 8 over 7 any day.

7 is the first car, that first bike ride so on and so forth. It's you hanging with your little buddies and talking about how girls have cooties.

8 is that girl you passed up talking to because your little buddies said she had cooties when you were 8. Now she is damn good looking but banging some guy half your worth but she's okay and at the end of the day is satisfied.

Most people can't stand to go back and replay 7 anyhow, it's just not as good as they remember it. I tried and couldn't do it and even till this day haven't beaten it (i got bored). I've beat 8 and even went back and beat it again early last year or the year before (it was still good). I'm not saying 7 was shit, it wasn't, but it damn sure isn't as great as some of you think (as in overrall, i'm sure some of you think glue tastes great).

6 is/was a better FF game than 7 will ever be. Tactics is definitely one of my favorites ( only FF game i could actually watch someone else play and get into it )

FF7 will always be the most overrated FF game ever and FF8 will always be overshadowed by it. I think most FF players don't like 8 because they couldn't grasp the story at the time. Just me tho

Also, the card game in 8 was epic.

FF7 was like Kurt Cobain for Generation X.

He wasn't great because he was the best musician ever, best guitarist of his era, had any form of longevity or replayability...

What Kurt Cobain did was inspire a whole generation of new musicians to pick up a guitar and achieve an even higher level of greatness.

No one since Lennon + McCartney inspired more people to become musicians than Kurt.. And no one since Super Mario and Dragon Warrior inspired more gamers to get into RPGs than Square + FF7. It made that genre mainstream, like a goddamn revolution.

FFT was pretty easy, I can't say I didn't have fun flaring the shit out of the entire field with my maxed out calculator... No replay value though.
