Red99 will turn into Blue99 2.0

What creates a good pvp server is the community of players on the server. Theres a reason why I always played the vztz servers and not the project99. The aspect of everquest i enjoyed the most was the pvp combat, not the PvE. Project99 gives a great reenactment of what everquest was like on a blue server back in 1999-2000. What comes with that is the grind of leveling and satisfaction to finally getting level 50 or so and gearing up so you can make a new character and start the long process all over. PvP players do not want that long process. They want a challenging process but one that will lead to spending more time with PvP combat instead of PvE, hence the purpose of the server. If the live version of red99 is ten time harder to level then the current beta. The server will only attract the players who already play project99 and enjoy that long grind experience. Those that enjoy just fighting it out with each other instead of some mob that cant talk shit back will not waste their time. The community on red99 will be enjoyable for those that want to create bonds while leveling and progressing through the game, and thats cool why not just do it on project99? but us hell raisers, i guess we will go somewhere else. Maybe i just dont get it but if going to create a pvp server, shouldnt the focus be on pvp?

All i was saying is some people want the classic PvE experience and project 99 obviously delivered that beautifully... But there is a healthy population that want the everquest pvp experience... why not create a server that serves directly to that? I know bluebies hate it, but on a pvp server, faster experience/yellow text/ and global ooc really isnt that bad. it is actually a lot of fun. killing orcs for 20 hours.. been there done that..

It's not like you're not able to PvP until level 50. None of the VZTZ boxes have offered a PvP experience that wasn't 'Avoid all PvP until 50, get geared, level a buff bot, then PvP.'

I'm looking forward to low and mid-level PvP since we haven't had it since EQ was actually a relevant MMO. I can't imagine why everyone is so eager to get back to the same end game scenario that has been played out time and time again. Zones like SolA, Unrest, Blackburrow, Highkeep, and UGuk are actually going to see some action. Enjoy the fucking ride, faggots.
