We did not say there would be any item loot so why would you see items on a corpse.

this was a classic mechanic, you could view players items even if you couldn't loot, it's a fun factor thing and doesn't grief your opponent, no reason not to have it in place.

See what happens when you give 150 people what they want. Nothing but grief in return. Red 99 will cause you more anger then good.

some possible reasons:

curious reds want to see loots for SS's

I suppose kinda like T-baggin someone in fps while they watch from their death cam.

/tell deadguy, 'Yo homie, i'm feelin up yo stuffz with my man fingaz! Btw, nice cloth cape, did you buy it at Walmart!?!? lololololol'

^ I imagine something like that?

You could look at their gear, but the moment you tried to loot an item it would say something along the lines of "You cannot loot this item" and kick you off the corpse. Definitely a classic mechanic, I played on VZ pre-kunark and it was always like this.

It was a good mechanic so you could see what kind of gear they had resist-wise. Also makes for better pvp kill screenshots!

There is also zero harm to you, the GM/Devs etc that I can see from letting us have the glimpse.

There has never been a blue post requesting a change, classic or otherwise. Let's not bring up cheating or pissing off the staff either.
