Naaa i just like to keep responind to keep it going so that i get a truely epic thread instead of this mediocre thread.

Lets say manastones were dropping in MM and the necro wanted in on the manastone if it dropped. I think people in the group would probably prefer not to have the PL. Then again maybe not. It all depends on what you value more. While some may be after xp others are after loot.

I don't think the item in question was going to an alt so your "rolling a warrior someday" analogy makes no sense either. He wanted it for his main. Whether you think he was going to use it or not doesn't matter.

Only reason i used the analogy of MM is the usefulness of 'Gypsy Lute" and "Mistmoore Granite" to the typical group of 30s camping castle entrance. Obviously if the monk wanted in on Deepwater gloves or Cobalt Boots or something, that's an item the XP group can actually turn around and sell or make use of.

The item 'in question' was going to sit untouched in the bank till the end of time. Unless Jamar had plans to app to TMO/TR someday, in which case his actions and this thread didn't really help his cause any. Best case scenario is he's entering in a loot camp with 5 people who don't agree on how to disperse loot, and he likes to make RnF threads. So umm... I don't see much potential for 'win' in this scenario, either.
