Sorry If i sounded preachy Csihar in my day to day life i dont really express my beliefs to people who arent interested or in this case people who are just eating meat. Yet when someone says a pretty broad statement about a belief i have the "man" in me comes to arms. People ask me why I dont meat, sometimes I explain, sometimes I dont. Some times I respond "well why is it that you eat meat." You hear a lot of the things that we're listed earlier. One thing that baffles me however is when people say its less healthy and you cannot sustain adequate vitamins and nutrients. I ask those people do you actively pursue vitamisn anutrients in your food, are you eating meat for its protein?, are you eating carrots for beta carotene,? are you drinking the milk for vitamin D and calcium? I hope your as conscious about the vitamins and mineral you take in as I am conscious about abstaining from thing I view as harmful. I wish for once to just hear an honest reason why people do it instead of something that sounds good. Humerox came pretty close and I respect that a thousand times more then someone who gives an excuse that while seemingly sounding scientific has no grounding in why they themselves do it.

" I eat meat because I like it, it tastes good, my friends and family do it, its advertized on tv, its considered acceptable in this society and Im unconcerned with its effects on myself, and the environment. I also have very little respect and or much apathy for the creatures I consume."

I'd have a lot more respect for you! So would the vegetarian/vegan community!"
