this. there are cards that are op as fuck in draft though. if you want to play on the cheap and you've got 4 or 5 other friends that do, pitch in and buy boxes of cards and do drafts. it's fun and a good way to get a nice card pool to build your decks from.

Someone wanna explain how Plainswalkers work? I haven't played since like Urza's Destiny. Are the numbers on the side life you spend? First Jace looks like his abilities are more fun. Second one is just retarded.

I guess more accurately they all let you select cards from your deck and either put them in your hand or on top of your deck.

You're pretty much correct.

Play Squadron Hawk, find 3 more. Use Jaces 0: ability, Draw 3 cards, put back two hawks. repeat as needed (free shuffles from playing squadron hawk leads to quality card choice (strong)). Then control the opponent with his -1: and +2.

Furthermore, in the same deck, you're running stoneforge mystic and battleskull.
Play stoneforge turn 2, find batterskull, turn 3 play a 4/4 lifelink/vigilance/bounceable creature at instant speed for (w)(1). Then if the 0/0 creature that batterskull makes dies, you throw it on your squadron hawk for a 5/5 lifelink/vigilance/bounceable.

The control, card advantage and agro package in one deck was soo strong in standard, it spilled over into a legacy build. Nevertheless, Jace and STF were banned in standard because of that deck (cawblade.dec)

i know that. you can use one ability on most other cards that allow you to do multiple things also, i figured it was implied sorry.

yeah i knew about this combo only because i heard so much bitching about jace being banned from t2. friends of mine were making good money drafting boxes and selling their cards. jace and vengevine were their biggest moneymakers for a minute. we've got an indoor swapmeet of geekdom here, it's pretty legit. you can walk in, sell your cards to random people or direct to the vendors (whovever is paying more at the time heh).
