Check the specs of the video card for recommended wattage from your psu, if the card isnt being recognized it might not be getting enough power, also make sure you have the supplemental connectors plugged in on the pcb if the card requires them which most all of them today do.

and yea make sure your card matches the on board slot, although I can't imagine how you plugged it in if it was a different form factor.


The only time to buy a new motherboard is if you're making a whole new build, 99.99999999999% of the time the problem is elsewhere.

Next time you post put the type of gpu you're running, and your psu size, also is the cpu heatsink stock or aftermarket? Just list all your specs lol plz.
