testicular fortitude. really the testicular fortitude to ban cheaters too, but the entire staff seems to lack it atm. they'd rather ban me or you for pointing it out than ban them or other cheaters for cheating/exploiting.

Corrupt GM's will always happen. VZTZ had a rule where a GM or Guide couldn't even have a character on the server.

Yeah to get my IP for some strange reason.

Your trying to compare it to logs from your website because you know I read your Member forums.

this isn't true here, and many times over.

Here's a quiz

What do those random mobs being killed in the logs have to do with testing future content? (I see the King of Kaladim, Mistmoore, Talendor, Naggy, Vox)
Killing the King in Kaladim gives huge faction hits for Ring of Scale. IIRC from live it was 7 kills from max KoS to Max Ally.

Killing mobs in MM also raises RoS faction.

Talendor, Naggy, Vox and every mob in VP are on RoS faction.

Do I win?

Greetings,

This leaked information, drama, or inquisition.. whatever you may call it has produced the troll poster's intent; uproar and discrimination. This thread, created by a staff member in the wrong area of the CSR forums, was investigated days ago. I will try to cover some of the key points here to assure you the sky is indeed not falling and that witch trials are unnecessary.

A developer's command usage is what is in question. Additionally, it is in question if these commands were used for the purpose of creating another, non-p99 version of Veeshan's Peak. My investigation leads me to believe that is not the case and I assure you... I take issues like this VERY seriously. As far as the posted commands, the event log indicates commands being used to confirm loot, aggro range, and hp amounts. I see a developer testing out an upcoming zone to ensure statistical accuracy and aggro. Months ago, this same developer posted their bug reports of this zone. From an integrity standpoint, this developer has consistently brought bugs, exploits, and anything deemed 'easy' directly to the other developers.

Now here is a crucial part... all of the information I utilized to create Veeshan's Peak has at one time or another been posted on these forums. There is no super secret VP info contained within the database. VP is a simple zone from a database perspective comprised of 9 npc types. It could be created within a day or two using the same maps, links, and loot lists I have posted previously. To that end, I fully believe that anyone with basic game development experience and internet research capabilities could do the same. The developer being scrutinized here does not even have database access, merely in-game commands for creating pathing, casting spells, and some in-game statistics of npcs.

It is unfortunate that the thread was written in the tone of a.. damning inquisitor. Management investigates a variety of issues involving the staff and players. This is a great example as to why internal investigations are internal. Choosing portions of evidence and filling in the gaps with condemning uncertainty leads to drama. We operate with full evidence and a non-discriminatory approach to these situations so appropriate action is taken if necessary.
Blah, blah, blah, blah....

I really don't give a shit what/why/if he was doing this for. I guess it only matters if the staff were looking into further guild disciplinary actions (disbanding, etc.).

You still have a DEVELOPER enabling a cheat program while on p99 when he, of all people, should know better.

I think he deserves to be perma-banned for he sets a bad precedent that puts a dark stain on the staff as a whole. His punishments need to be more harsh than the other people are seeing.

BTW: Kudos goes to rogean and co for being so secretive in their campaign to thwart cheating that they..

BUST ONE OF THEIR OWN

idk if this is a really bad troll or a really bad read. he didn't use showeq or any other cheat program ok. the trolls and tin foil hat theorists are up in arms about something completely different. get back on topic with the trollings.

I figured we needed to get this picture back into this discussion as Rogean said it was okay yesterday and the thread has just been locked until now.

"During this time I was asked to come test VP, monitor pathing, and other server attributes." -Perun/Trax currently suspended TR recruitment officer.

"However, recently there was an instance where I thought TMO as kiting Talendor (), so I took it upon myself to load ShowEQ and see for myself." -Perun/Trax currently suspended TR recruitment officer.

"I know we have a strict policy against this like this, and I don't want to put all this weight on my comrades shoulders." -Perun/Trax currently suspended TR recruitment officer.

So in the beginning Perun explains to his guild that he is a developer type, helping test out VP with his buddy Xzerion. He also explains that because he is a developer, he needs to use ShowEQ.

Okay so. Perun is a developer helping with VP and "other attributes", and as such needs ShowEQ

He then goes on to explain that he "thought" we might be kiting Talendor, so he loads up his cheat program to make sure we aren't screwing him out of his mobs that he deserves? I mean, he's already pretty much told us above, he's a developer!

and the last bit I find especially hilarious...

First he says he doesn't want to put all the weight on his guildmates' shoulders. I mean, Xzerion has been very clear in the past about their no-bullshit policy on cheaters and cheating, so.. instead of bowing out like a man and not making Xzerion look like the most giant asshat on Project 1999, he puts up a poll asking his guild members to make this extremely hard choice for him and the leadership? Why not just follow your original stance?

"Again, I'm sorry that I let some of you down. None of the officers knew about any of this."

So he's also trying to say, he used ShowEQ to tell we were kiting Talendor, and his guild didn't ask how he knew where a mob that was being kited was? Or how he could say for sure it was kited? (btw, Talendor can be anywhere in the zone if someone does a bad AE pull)

I'm sure everyone else will put together the other pieces for you, what it comes down to is this. If we're playing in TR's sandbox, just tell us- otherwise, man up and level the playing field.
