Also, I'd like to add that he had a medical discharge due to the fact that he has had far too many concussions in his lifetime, and suffered from Acid Reflux disease. He would have needed to get 3 or 4 different types of waivers to get passed MEPS. That's more than enough reason for me, if I was in that situation, to not give a shit anymore. He was signed in as a combat medic yes, his ASVAB score was high enough to choose any job he wanted to, but because of those waivers, he didn't end up joining in.
