Should /ooc be server wide like Red due to low population?

I played on blue the other day and someone freaked out at me for monopolizing all the camps in lguk with my level 42 ungeared enchanter.

Just combine it with Green already lol. No reason not to. Not even one.

Genuinely it might help as sitting in EC isn't worth it.

Global ooc is an abomination.
So is green and blue not combining "unite the clans!" But so is lack of red 2.0 So I guess maybe it's coming soon

There also has to be a desire to combine servers. It's a lot of prep and planning. This project has been going on for a lot of years now. I think we are in maintenance mode at best.

Global /ooc chat is great for low population servers. That's how MUD's were. Everquest comes from MUDs and it's closer to classic EQ anyway to have global /ooc for a low population server, because normal classic EQ means zones should be filled with people.

When I mentioned global chat of any kind (even auction) cd288 freaked out and said the servers were going to be merged soon.
The servers aren't going to be merged. There are just too many hurdles. common names, only 8 slots, more tickets for the already the short staff, unwanted competition on green and named staff working on EQ Legend development. The red received global chat. Perhaps after blue drops below 50 ppl it will be provided.
